Climate change is the single greatest threat humanity faces. The problem is global in scale but locally experienced, especially by indigenous peoples who rely on the land and water to support their way of life. There have been, and will continue to be, dire consequences unless we act together. If we do not, the impacts of climate change will get much worse.
It is possible and essential that global warming is limited to 1.5ºC above pre-industrial global average temperatures. The international community has identified the means to do so which requires the implementation of an evolving sequence of activities and impending timelines. Essential elements include cultivating Nature Based Solutions, expanding renewable energy sources including hydrogen, and phasing out fossil fuels.
